💡 Short version: Contact Scanner does not collect, transmit, or share any of your data. Everything happens on your device.

1. Who we are

Contact Scanner ("the app") is developed and maintained by Mohamed Elatabany ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app does — and does not do — with your information.

2. What the app accesses

To function, Contact Scanner may request the following permissions:

• Camera — to let you scan text in real time.
• Photo Library — to let you scan an existing image.
• Contacts — only when you explicitly tap "Save to Contacts" — to write a new contact.

You can grant, deny, or revoke any of these permissions in the system Settings app at any time. The app still works with limited permissions — you just won't be able to use the related feature.

3. What happens to scanned data

When you scan an image, text recognition is performed entirely on your device using Apple's on-device Vision framework. Nothing is uploaded to us or any third party.

Extracted information (phone numbers, emails, addresses, websites) is shown to you and stored locally on your device so you can access scan history. If you tap "Save to Contacts", the info is written into the iOS Contacts app under your control.

4. What we collect

Nothing. We do not operate any servers that receive data from the app.

• No account or sign-up is required.
• No analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting SDKs are embedded.
• No advertising identifiers are read.
